• Cape Grace

The Cape Grace is situated on the West Quay of Cape Town‘s Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, overlooking the international yacht basin.  Cape Grace occupies one of the most desirable positions in the Cape.  Opened in December 1996, The Cape Grace is an elegant hotel featuring architecture that reflects the strong French historical influence on the Cape.  Leading South African architects and designers drew inspiration from the opulence and luxury of such great European hotels as the Amstel Inter-Continental of Amsterdam and The Gritti Palace of Venice (both also situated on water), in addition to the classical proportions of Cape Town landmarks such as the Natural History Museum.

The hotel is the perfect base for both business and leisure travelers, and comes fully equipped with every modern convenience.  Furniture of the finest design and quality grace the public and private rooms.  Every one of the 92 bedrooms and 12 suites are luxuriously appointed.  All contain lounge areas, walk-in dressing rooms, bathrooms with separate showers and double vanities, so as to cater to the privacy and individuality of its guests.  All rooms have French doors opening to exquisite views of Table Mountain, the yacht basin, or the working harbor.  Other hotel facilities include a boardroom, private guest lounge, swimming pool and 24 hour room service.  The cuisine is contemporary and relaxed.  The restaurant and cocktail bar both have viewing terraces overlooking the newly-constructed bascule bridge, which will function as a gateway for the passing yachts.

As the Cape Grace is situated in the heart of the Waterfront, numerous leisure activities abound.  The Victoria Wharf offers up market shops, restaurants, cinemas, and a theatre.  The hotel is situated three minutes from the city center, and is within easy reach of Cape Town’s art galleries, museums, botanical gardens, wine farms and beaches.
