Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa is located in 300 acres of lush forest surrounded by plantations of timber and Arabica coffee. The lodge, a charming old farmhouse overlooking magnificent gardens, lies at the heart of the plantation. Accommodation for 28 guest comes in the form of various suites, cottages, and studios, all individually decorated and personalized. Most have sitting rooms, walled patios or gardens and all have log fireplaces. Excellent cuisine may be enjoyed in the intimate, candle-lit dining room. Cybele has a large secluded swimming pool, and guests can also enjoy walks in the surrounding forests, mountain biking, riding, bird watching along the riverbank, or rainbow trout fishing.
Cybele Forest Lodge has recently opened a health and beauty spa – The Spa in the Forest – where guests can indulge in a full range of treatments. The lodge is in close proximity to many of Mpumalanga’s scenic attractions, including the Kruger National Park, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon and the famous old town of Pilgrim’s Rest. Scenic helicopter rides over the numerous waterfalls in the area and day trips on an authentic steam train can also be arranged.
