    DAY 1:

    Upon arrival you will be met by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel by scheduled vehicle.

    The City Lodge Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, located at the gateway to the vibrant and dynamic V & A Waterfront, lies within walking distance of Cape Town‘s Central Business District and just 15 minutes drive from Cape Town International Airport. A nautical theme runs through the hotel and a pool/Jacuzzi is available for guests to relax in the warm Cape weather. The Hotel has recently undergone a complete facelift and revamp, which includes 44 additional rooms plus a fitness room and Internet cafe. A prime location from which to explore the city, the V&A waterfront houses an array of shops as well as some of Cape Town’s finest restaurants.

    DAY 2: SCHEDULED HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B)

    8:30 AM After breakfast this morning you will be met by your guide for a half day tour of Cape Town by scheduled vehicle.

    No visit to Cape Town is complete without a tour of the “Mother City”. Take in the Houses of Parliament, the Castle, the District Six Museum, and other historical sites. One of the many highlights is a visit to the bustling Greenmarket Square flea market. The day also includes a visit to the picturesque Malay Quarter with its spicy local dishes and curry aromas. The V&A Waterfront is the last stop, where you will be free to explore this exciting development, or be dropped off at your hotel. All entrance fees are included on this tour.

    Spend the day at leisure and enjoy the beauty of Cape Town and its surrounding areas.

    Today you will be transferred by scheduled vehicle to Johannesburg Airport.

    Scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Polokwane

    Upon arrival you will be met by a representative and transferred to:

    Mashatu Tented Camp
    (or similar)

    Accommodation in a standard tent for 3 nights. All meals and activities included.

    Mashatu Tented Camp is nestled in the remote northern area of the Mashatu Game Reserve in the Tuli Block of Botswana. The camp sleeps a maximum of 14 guests in seven twin tents. Although rustic in character, every facility is provided. The tents are equipped with comfortable beds, and each comes complete with en-suite shower, hot/cold water, and flush toilet. Meals are served on the open sided thatch deck, as well as in the traditional boma for intimate campfire dinners. The camp also contains a plunge pool. Activities are centered on game drives in open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles in the 75,000 acre Mashatu Game Reserve. Besides elephant, lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena, general game like giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland and a variety of antelope, nocturnal species like spring hares, bat eared fox, civet cat, genet cat, honey badger, and mongoose occur throughout the reserve. The bird life is prolific within Mashatu Game Reserve featuring over 350 different species. For an additional cost, a limited number of mountain bicycles are available for participation in cycling safaris. Horseback riding and archaeological walks are also available as optional extras.
